Ashura this year was a bigger affair than last year and was celebrated in London at a Turkish restaurant in Stoke Newington. There were new faces as well as old and some notable faces were missing. We all had an amazing time and hope to make Ashura bigger every year.

After the meal we all went to the local masjid to pray before we decided to head in the direction of home, but as usual we couldn’t lave each after having such a beautiful time.

Next year do not forget to invite family members and friends especially those who are curious about Islam.
